Questions must be linked to a management group and a question group. By selecting the management group, you determine which part of the website these questions belong to. By creating a question group, you can group different questions together. You can create multiple question groups within one management group.
Create a new question group. To do this, go to the Matchmaker and then click on questions and select the groups tab. Enter the name of the group here, set the status to active, and choose the correct type.
There are different types of questions on the website. We have about me, catalog, I am looking for, and forms questions.
About me: The about me type are questions linked to user profiles. These are asked on the URL /about-me and can be used on the profile page, profile thumbnail, and as search criteria in the user overview.
Catalog: The catalog type concerns questions that must be linked to catalog items. These are asked when adding the item in the case of user-generated content or can be filled in when managing the item in SiteCMS. Additionally, these can be used on the question blocks of the detail page and thumbnail and as search criteria in a category overview.
I am looking for: The I am looking for type are questions linked to user profiles to indicate what they are looking for. These are asked on the URL
/search-profile/2 (Website > login > account menu > matches > I am looking for) and can be used in the matchmaker, profile page, profile thumbnail, and as search criteria in the user overview. It is possible to search for a profile that is looking for a certain characteristic (For example, I am looking for a woman who is looking for a man).
Forms: The forms type are questions that must be linked to certain forms such as the registration form and response form. The questions can be added to the relevant form and the question forms module in SiteCMS (SiteCMS > Matchmaker > Question forms) after creation. The questions are then visible on the online forms.
Once you have selected the correct type, click save. You have now added a question group.
Tip: Create different question groups within one management group. This way, you can display multiple tabs with questions, for example, when adding an item. This is useful for grouping questions or dividing questions into different steps (in this case, you create the question groups step 1, step 2, and so on).
