Translate FAQ categories on your website

Do you want to make FAQ categories on your website available in multiple languages? With SiteCMS, you can easily translate FAQ categories, making your website more user-friendly for an international audience. Follow the steps below to translate FAQ categories and specific parts of them.

 

Step 1: Add an extra language to your website

To translate FAQ categories, you first need to add an extra language to your website. Here's how you do it:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Click on Company Information.
  3. Go to Languages and add the desired language to your website.

 

Step 2: Translate an FAQ category in SiteCMS

Now that the language is added, you can start translating FAQ categories. Follow these steps to convert a specific FAQ category to the desired language:

  1. Go to Texts and select FAQ Categories.
  2. Find the category you want to translate.
  3. On the left, you will see the option Select Language. Click on it and choose the language you want to translate the FAQ category into.
  4. Adjust the name and description of the FAQ category in the chosen language.

 

Step 3: Don't forget to save the changes

After adjusting the FAQ category, click on Save to record the translation. This will make the translated FAQ category visible on your website.

 

(Optional) Translate specific text lines within an FAQ category

Do you only want to translate certain text lines within an FAQ category? This is also possible in SiteCMS. Follow the steps below to translate specific text lines within an FAQ category:

  1. Open the FAQ category and select the text line you want to translate.
  2. Choose the desired language on the right side of the text box.
  3. Adjust the text line and click on Save to keep the change.
