How do I set up a webhook via Zapier?
How do you set up a webhook via Zapier?
Would you like to set up a webhook in Zapier and connect it to your CMS? With a webhook you can automatically send events from your platform to other tools. Below we explain step by step how to set up and connect a webhook.
Step 1: Create a new zap in Zapier
Go to Zapier and create a new zap. Choose Webhooks as the trigger.
You can set this up manually or use the AI functionality within Zapier to create a webhook trigger.
Step 2: Choose the correct trigger
Select the correct webhook trigger, for example when an account is created.
Please note: you need a separate zap for each webhook. This is because every zap has a unique webhook URL.
Step 3: Copy the webhook URL
Once you've set up the zap, Zapier automatically generates a webhook URL.
Copy this URL. In the attachment you'll find an example of where to find it within Zapier.
Step 4: Connect the webhook in SiteCMS
Go to SiteCMS and add the webhook in the right place.
Paste the copied webhook URL here and connect it to the correct trigger.
Please note: make sure the correct trigger is connected. If, for example, you connect a webhook for “account created” to “account deleted”, it won't work.
Summary
- Create a separate zap for each webhook
- Copy the unique webhook URL
- Add it in SiteCMS to the correct trigger
